black triangles – for cor anglais and ensemble

A bang. Then the barely hearable “burning of a fuse’’, igniting the first action – and thereby resulting in a whole avalanche of action and reaction elements.
This is the beginning of black triangles for solo cor anglais and ensemble. Subject of the whole piece, is the transmission of energy, its preservation and dissolution, browhich can be found in the tiniest actions as well as in the big form.

The action and reaction elements I mentioned, are already formed in the first bars. It is them who lay the foundation for the development in the whole piece, where a symbiotic or parasitic relationship between cor anglais and the ensemble arises slowly.

The first parts of this piece were written for a cooperation with the IEMA, the international ensemble modern academy in Spring 2016. After further months of intensive composing the piece had its very successful premiere at Zeitgenuss Festival in Karlsruhe, Germany.
